Factory Calibration

The calibration of thermometers is a critical process to ensure that your measuring devices deliver accurate and reliable results. During a factory calibration, the thermometer is compared with high-precision reference devices, and deviations are documented. This takes place in a controlled environment, where temperature points are tested within a defined range to ensure that the thermometer meets the required specifications. Professional calibration provides safety in usage and ensures that measurement results remain consistently accurate.

We calibrate data loggers and thermometers from all manufacturers over a wide temperature range. Contact us to find out how we can calibrate your specific thermometer and desired temperature points – we are happy to assist you.

Trust in our many years of experience and expertise. Send us your devices and let our reliable, accredited laboratory convince you!

Steps

The calibration includes:

[Label used to indicate that a specific device or equipment has passed inspection or calibration and meets established standards] - [MTS]

05. Calibration Sticker

After calibration, a sticker is applied with the calibration date and the due date for the next calibration.

04. Certificate issuance

We issue a calibration certificate that documents all relevant measurement and test results. The certificate can be provided in printed form or sent via Email in PDF format. Soon, customers will be able to conveniently download certificates as a PDF via our customer portal.

03. Evaluation

After calibration, we perform calculations to verify that the device operates within the permissible tolerance limits and meets the required accuracy.

02. Factory calibration

The calibration is performed in comparison mode with high-precision reference devices to ensure accurate measurements.

01. Function test

Before calibration, the device is checked for basic functionality to ensure it works flawlessly. If the device’s battery is weak or empty, we will replace it. The cost of the new battery is borne by the customer.
FAQ

How can we help you?

General

Calibration ensures your devices maintain accuracy and reliability, meeting regulatory and quality assurance standards.

If you’re uncertain about your calibration needs, feel free to contact us for guidance. We can help determine the appropriate calibration type and frequency based on your usage and quality management requirements.

It depends on usage and quality standards, but typically once a year is recommended. Check your internal Quality Management (QM) requirements or consult with your quality assurance team to determine the recommended calibration frequency for your devices.

We provide stickers with the latest and next calibration dates. Additionally, we can send reminder emails.

Temperature calibration

We calibrate a wide range of thermometer types from all manufacturers and models, including:

  • Data Loggers
  • Digital Thermometers
  • Thermocouples (TC): such as types K, J, T, S.
  • Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs): Such as PT100 and PT1000.

If you’re unsure about your thermometer type, feel free to contact us—we are happy to assist.

  • ISO 17025 calibrations: -70°C to 180°C
  • Factory calibrations: -200°C to 160°C (on-site)
  • Coming soon!: -70°C to 1200°C (factory calibrations) and -200°C to 1300°C (on-site factory calibrations)

Certified calibrations comply with ISO 17025 standards, meaning they are performed under strict accreditation requirements, ensuring traceability, documented accuracy, and adherence to international standards. These calibrations are ideal for organizations that need documented evidence for regulatory compliance or audits.

Factory calibrations, on the other hand, focus on ensuring the functional accuracy of your device but do not include accredited certification. They are suitable for internal quality checks or when compliance with ISO standards is not mandatory.

If you’re unsure which calibration type you need, feel free to contact us for guidance based on your specific requirements.

If required by your Quality Management (QM) system, industry standards, or regulatory requirements, certified thermometer calibration is essential.

We determine if your thermometer passes or fails calibration by comparing its measurements against specified tolerances using the comparison method. This involves testing your device against a reference standard of known accuracy under controlled conditions to ensure it meets the required performance criteria.

Carefully thaw the thermometer using manufacturer-recommended methods to avoid damage or measurement inaccuracies. If you want to avoid potential risks, contact us to inquire about on-site calibration as an alternative.

Use a backup thermometer or contact us for on-site calibration if needed.
